Default cotton ---> acne?

ok so i don't really have a problem with acne and never really had. so i work out like 4 days a week and always just wear basketball shorts and a white cotton undershirt. now i'm fine all winter, but as soon as it starts getting warm i start getting some (not alot) of acne on my back and shoulders. i always try to get out of the sweaty clothes and shower ASAP, but i'm just wondering if the cotton shirts are causing this.

i have some under armor stuff, but i don't normally wear it cuz i don't look too great in skin tight clothes, but if the cotton is the problem then i'm gonna go buy some more under armor or something

thanks

It's a possibility but I'd doubt it.

It isn't the cotton specifically that is causing the breakouts, it's that cotton retains moisture and doesn't dry quickly in most situations. So you've got sweat, salt, and whatever toxins hanging out on your pores for however long you've got the shirt on.

My shoulders used to break out a little when I played football in HS, because they had sweat on them for hours at a time with no ventilation. UnderArmor does help, though.
