Default Loosing weight quick.

I know this isn't really advised, but I need to lose at least 5 preferably 10lbs by Thursday!!

Anyone have any suggestions?

diaretics..
loose all your water weight.

(only to have it come right back and leave you not feeling "up to par" in the process)
Much like those miracle diets.

Can I ask why?

If you actually care to loose the weight and keep it off, it will take time and effort far beyond Thursday

wow... that is a big demand. Before I make the recommendation you have to know this could be hazardous and you could be hurting really bad... especially if you aren't used to dropping weight like this and the work it will take.

Ok... now, you'll want to wear layers and you'll want to do cardio.

I know that sounds simple, but since the 5-10lbs lost that quickly is going to be almost all water weight, you can't rehydrate until the weight is lost. Of course, you have to drink some fluids to survive, but it has to be minimal so you don't loose all that water weight and then put it right back on.

This is pretty much exactly what fighters/wrestlers do to cut weight. It's intense, it's going to suck, and with 2 days to go, you need to kick some fucking ass to get it done. If you aren't used to this type of cutting, then understand that this is going to be very hard on your system.

To keep the energy up, make sure you get some good complex carbs in you. A bit of protein with that will help stretch the glucose release a bit longer so you can get more out of it.

May I ask what this is for?

diuretics and laxatives will assist on getting rid of the water weight and can be used in conjunction with the exercise. Diuretics and laxatives will not get rid of that much weight (safely) on their own.

If I was in that situation, I would just cycle between cardio and the sauna. For cardio, I would set the treadmill to the steepest incline and walk at about 3.5-4mph for 30 minutes, go sit in the sauna for a while, walk again and repeat. Walking is easy (save energy) and more effective than you may believe.

We used to cut weight like that by layering up and doing cardio when I was wrestling. Of course, every year some wrester manages to die doing this, and countless more get permanent kidney damage, so YMMV. Really not a good idea.

Do your workout as usual, wear more layers and bump the cardio up a few notches. Skip the laxatives and use the diuretics (keeps the nutrients absorbing and releases the excess water through urination)... you might not get 10lbs by thursday, but it will help a bit.

Eat some good fruits and vegetables on wednesday night to load carbs, eat breakfast, and snack on fruits and vege's throughout the day for the energy you need.

that's what I'd do if I had too.

Are we going to see our beloved Rascus on TV??

dude, i got the PERFECT solution for you ... i'm currently on it now and i didn't want to post anything until it was over.

i am taking in 600-800 calories a day - ONLY. running 2-3 miles everyday and the push-ups sit-ups as well.

from march 1-18, i have lost 18 pounds. i will be on this diet for another 3 1/2 weeks.

be creative w/ your diet. slim fast bars, clif bars, lean cuisine frozen food, sandwiches with a LOT of lettuce or a pickle spear or two (pickles have very little calories).

oh, and the night before, sweat the water out.

wrap your waist with saran wrap, throw some sweats on, and cycle away and throw a half hour run in there.

and to trick yourself rinse your mouth out every so often.

i can lose almost 7 pounds overnight doing that.
