Anybody have one? Opinions? Good option for working out at home. Not looking to get huge but would like to start strength training some along with my cardio I've been doing. Already added crunches and pushups to my routine.

My mother in law has one and I think it sucks honestly. Its not consistent resistance through the whole range of motion. Can't really do a whole lot with it.

If you finance it it's over half of a gym membership typically. My cousin has one, I never worked out on it but if you are too lazy to go to the gym it's a lot better than nothing. I also don't have room for it anywhere.

they are a big pile of poorly put together plastic shit. they look stiff and sturdy in the commercials but in real life they are flimsy plastic rods, fucking terrible.
+1 on chuck norris. when chuck norris falls into a lake chuck norris doesnt get wet, the lake gets chuck norris.

My parents have one and its not that bad. I like going to a gym though. Its easy to talk yourself out of working out if your gym is at home. At least for me it is. Also you want to switch up your workouts as much as you can and with the Bowflex you are limited to how many different workouts you can do.
Actually, the cheapest Bowflex is ~$600, I think. I have a Weider Max which is a knockoff, and I just sold it on ebay. My opinion is that it is a great backup to have in a condo, which is what I bought it for. It is good in a condo / apartment because there are no weights smacking. I used it as a backup - if the tiny fitness center at my complex was crowded, I would go home and do the Weider.
What I didn't like was that the resistance seemed real light lb for lb than the real thing. Also, I am constantly switching the weight, and having to stop and do math really got to me.

it benefits you more if you purchase a membership to a gym.
it's easy to brush off working out at home, and
the atmosphere of a gym is totally different and there is just something about going to a gym that motivates you more than an at home work out.
however, if you are just unable to get to a gym, then a bowflex or soloflex or something similar will benefit you.
