i love eating, its like one of my hobbies. now i'm a skinny shit, so i could never eat alot by most peoples standards. i'm still at home on semester break and i've been working five days a week. i've been eating a really light breakfast since i don't eat lunch at work to hold me over, so i'm usually starving when i get home. i want to eat everything in site, but i'll eat a sandwich or something and thats it, i'm full. i go out to eat alot too and have trouble finishing a dinner most of the time. i've been losing weight for a while too.
any ideas whats wrong with me?

I'll refrain from the armchair medical advising, but if you feel that your appetite at this point is abnormal, then you should probably check with a doctor.
Could be stress, could be a bug, could just be what your body has gotten used too. If it's uncomfortable and bothersome to you, have a professional check it out.

i'd say i am eating normal, just not how i used to. i work out everyday when i'm at school and ride/ work when i'm at home and during the summer. at my heaviest i was 145 in May. that was eating 3 significant meals a day, which i never do. i hung onto 140 for a good while, but now i'm 130, if that. its not really a big deal, just thought i'd ask
at least my bike will go faster right? lol
oh, and i like the new health and fitness forum- i'll be in here alot!

You should include your height. 130 lbs means nothing without height and that info is relevant. You are in a constant state of catabolism and you need to make yourself eat and drink. Lack of sleep and the wrong foods can do it. Need more info.
For now - I would eat food before going to bed at night. Like cottage cheese. I go for peanut butter because its packs a lot of cals and its easier to take in. Get 8 hours of sleep, try to get no more or less, and get a good breakfast. But ALL meals are equally as important. So dont try to cram your day into your breakfast.

that sounds like a typical 19 yo problem, i could not gain weight for shit at that age, i was literally drinking a JUG of protein shake a weak and only weighed 10 more pounds then i do now.
You need to increase your meal frequency. Start eating small MEALS (not snacks) every 3 hours. Come 2-3 weeks you'll be so hungry after 2 hour you'll be dying to eat.
All the people who say they can't gain weight simply are just not willing to put in the dedication it takes for consistency and meal planning.

Dude you eat twice a day. Your stomach is probably the size of a tennis ball at the moment. You have to figure out a way to get more meals into your diet. I've been in your shoes and the less I ate the less my desire to eat was. It's just that your stomach shrinks and can't take the same amount of food. Usually, when I didn't have time to eat (dumb me ... I now know this is bullshit. You can ALWAYS figure out a time to eat) I was having about 1 big meal a day (same as you: a big ass dinner that includes whatever was in my fridge). I then started having more food by adding one extra meal every few days and my appetite gradually came back. Start having lunch and you will see you'll get back on track If not ... then go see a doctor to make sure there's nothing wrong. If that will make you feel calmer, I managed to lose about 10-15 lbs in 4 weeks by switching from 6-7 meals a day to 2-3 meals a day. So yeah ... if you don't eat you get skinny.

+1. You're eating a light breakfast and then nothing until dinner, at which time you are famished? That's a big problem right there. You feel so hungry but since your stomach shrinks you can't take in very much at all. Eat a lunch. Don't stuff yourself, but have a sandwich and an apple or something like that. You'll still be hungry come dinner time, but you won't be starving. Plus, you should be able to eat a little more since your stomach won't shrink.
Oh, and don't worry about not finishing your meal when you go out to eat. Most portion sizes are waaaaaay bigger than we need. In fact, sometimes they are the size of two or three portions all on one plate.
