Here's a list of foods I made a while back if anyone is looking for a list of healthy foods. I also attached it in .txt format if you just want to download the file.
Not sure if this qualifies, but i found something that might work for the lazy shopper/food prep person like myself
At lucky's/albertsons i found these premade burger patties that have 4% fat. They are made by Morgans All natural. However i cant seem to find a website.

Good list, but I have a question for you folks. Isn't beef naturally high in fat also?
Nope, alot of beef is very lean. It really depends on the cut. When I buy steaks and want them to be lean, I just look at them. If they are a nice red without marbling, they are lean!
Also, you can trim the fat a little more from lean ground beef by rinsing it with hot water immediatly after cooking!
And, I know that ground turkey is good for you, but I can't stand the taste. I recently discovered its not half bad when I mix lean ground beef and turkey together!

your first comments weren't very descriptive. to say something is junk without offering any supporting evidence isn't really helping anyone with their choices. tofu and other soy products and almonds are definitely good things to add, but not necessarily replacements for anything.
lean ground beef is a good source of proteins and amino acids, but can be harder to digest and is generally not recommended for daily consumptionn. Bagels, made of whole wheat or stone ground wheat or those that contain sunflower seeds and stuff are a good source of carbs and cover that 'grain' portion of the food spectrum. It's really easy to get crappy bagels, but also easy to find healthier ones, you just have to know what ingredients to look for. Also, a bagel is much better than a doughnut, which is what I think the OP was getting at. Italian dressing can also be good for you, depending on it's ingredients. Personally, I love italian dressing but I make my own with a blend of dry italian spices (the generic mixed spices from the spice aisle), olive oil, vinegar (i like the garlic infused... but you can choose red or white or whatever), some lemon juice and usually a bit of red pepper. It doesn't hold as long as the store bought version (of which you can find 'organic' or at least more healthy versions), but i use it up pretty quick and when it's getting to the end of the week it makes a great marinade for chicken or fish.
Not saying your advice wasn't sound, just wasn't really expunged on so it didn't come across as helpful.
