Default Trackday prep

What is your trackday prep?

I like to start cycling and semi-intense leg workouts a couple weeks ahead. (It sucks to get rubber legs by lunchtime.) Cardio is a big help in the summertime as well. The day before a trackday I drink lots of water and also in the morning during the rider's meeting I'm guzzling water.

Usually I'll have a high carb breakfast like a peanut butter bagel or whole wheat cereal. For lunch I bring cold cuts and stack that on a bagel for more carbs. I drink more water than gatorade but I ALWAYS bring gatorade and a can of Monster. The Monster is for the drive home!

There have been times in the heat of the summer when I didn't prep and the day was absolutely miserable. Learned my lesson!

drink lots and lots of water is pretty much what i make sure i do and eat a decent meal for dinner, nothing fatty or too many kcals.

i don't eat breakfast, so i make sure to drink at least 10 ounces of water before i start, and eat a light lunch and nibble throughout the afternoon. and drink water after each session.

We pack up the car and the trailer and then drive 6-8 hours. When we get there we setup camp and then do some drinkin' to celebrate being at the track. Then we ride all day. Then we drink to either celebrate not crashing, or crashing and not being in the hospital. Then we ride all day again. Then we drink again. Then we ride again, only this time, we don't rest at lunch. We spend lunch cleaning up and packing so that by the time we're done, we can load the bikes up, shower, and drive 6-8 hours home. Then when we get home, sometime after midnight, we pass the fuck out!!!
