bike shipping

Its been awhile since I've been on the site. But I'm looking to finally move back home after I graduate. Any one have some advise for bike shipments?

Are you moving back with a military move? If so the movers do a pretty good job crating it up. At least they did for me. Just watch them while they are strapping it down.

My advice is to:

1. Shop around and compare prices
2. only deal with companies that are established
3. Don't sign anything without reading it

If you do those three things, you should be alright. Giving yourself plenty of time is good too, just in case. Some shippers I know of that have a decent rep are Pasha (great if you need to move personal items too), A-1 Auto Transport, Inc. (generally good), and uship (more affordable usually, but not great on service.) Hope this helps.
