'01-'03

Reccomended oil: 10W-40 , most people use 15W-50 Red Cap Monil-1 or 15W-40 Rotella T

Oil Capacity:
3.0 US Quarts without filter change
3.3 US quarts with filter change

Brake Fluid: DOT-4 (only use Glycol Based, no silicone or petroleum stuff)
Fork Oil- 10 weight (SS-8)
Fork Oil Capacity: 17.8 oz, each leg
Coolant: Something compatible with an aluminum radiator, mixed 50/50 with distilled water.
Cooling system capacity: 3.2 US Quarts
Spark Plugs: NGK CR9E
Tires:
Front-120/70ZR17 (58W)
Rear-180/55ZR17 (73W)

Great info. How about 97-00 GSXR600? Same as 01-03? I'm interested in oil capacity and the weight of oil.

Also what oil filter are you guys using?

I believe its 45 with a 16 tooth front sprocket. 108 link 525 chain.

hey jk750, when listing color schemes for the '04-'05, you forgot my scheme.

the 2004 GSX-R 600 is the only year with the black/orange paint scheme.
