He's back home. Hopefully it doesn't affect his season ..
Update as of 7pm CET, Friday:
Valentino Rossi has returned home from the Ospedale Infermi in Rimini, having successfully completed routine diagnostic tests that were scheduled earlier on Friday.
With the attending doctors confirming the findings shared in this morning‘s medical bulletin, the nine-time World Champion left the hospital at 5.30pm, accompanied by his staff. He will now continue the recovery process at home.
Original story:
Having been diagnosed yesterday evening with mild thoracic and abdominal trauma following a motocross accident, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi is making positive progress with his recovery.
Last night the nine-time World Champion spent a quiet night at the "Ospedale Infermi" in Rimini and was visited once again this morning by doctors. Positively, Rossi said that he is experiencing less pain both in the chest and in the abdomen compared to last night. The pain is the result of slight liver and kidney lesions that have not evolved into further complications. The Italian legend will continue to receive pain relief over the next 12 hours and, over the course of the day, will undergo routine diagnostic tests. If the results are positive, he may be discharged from the hospital within the day.
