$$$ is a great motivator but I think JLo wanted to prove himself (and others) that he can be great on a different bike as well. It's a big gamble for sure but if he pulls it off he would have won on a machine that literally broke one of the greatest riders of all time and his magic story about turning a loser bike into the best on the grid. The other thing is, Rossi is back to winning and a pretty solid CS contender on the Yamaha. Rossi was clearly the No:2 rider after his Ducati stint but now they are both No1 so I'm thinking that probably doesn't sit too well with JLo any more - it's almost the wall story allover again but this time a lot more civilized and experienced from the opposite side. JLo's ego probably has had enough.

As for the Duc - look at what Iannone is doing with it. I think they've gone a long way from where they were when Rossi was in the saddle so I don't think it would be fair to compare Rossi's and JLo's accomplishments on the machine. Granted Iannone is crashing way too often which means he's riding on the absolute limit all the time (which is the exact polar opposite of JLo's racing/riding style) but I still think JLo would fair a lot better than Rossi on the Duc. Although fighting for a CS in his first year does sound a little too overly optimistic IMO.

I'm already looking forward for Qatar! Winter is just around the corner and I'm already thinking it can't fuck off fast enough.

True, but Crazy Joe has a vastly differnt style that JLo. It is a vastly improved machine, but JLo is all about smooth "Butter". The Duc isn't that machine yet.

It's pretty amazing that MM just keeps on crashing after he wrapped up the CS All in all this race was a bit of a nail biter but so are most wet races - it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, especially after MM and Crutchlow binned it. Bring on the season finale!

Oh and a last thing - Iannone seriously needs to take some of those patience/consistency pills that MM was heaving prior to the last 2 rounds. At this point it feels that he's crashed out of more races than he's actually completed this season.

Last race, he just binned it, no excuse, but give him a little slack for today's race, he has the stomach flu. You try and go 100% for 45 minutes while trying not to vomit or crap your pants. I've done it just doing the speed limit (not 100%), I was bitten by a stable fly, and I puked in my helmet just to get back to my room. Was awful.

I have Cystic Fibrosis, and yes I ride a Triumph Daytona 675.

MM admitted he can play a little looser now that he doesn't have to protect the Championship lead. He did seem to be struggling before he went down.

Lorenzo really wasn't a factor the whole race. Had it not been for the crashes, he would have been 6th. Sure, he finished when the others didn't but...

I'm far from criticizing the MotoGP champion lol. If nothing else I was making a compliment because he's obviously matured enough to ride like a real champ and score points when it matters.
