I mean- you have to KNOW which is which to tell them apart. They don't make it obvious which one is their premiere bike, and that drives me nuts.
Like the 848 and 1098. They were literally identical in almost every way. Same with the 748/996, 749/999, etc. Take the badges off and you'd have no idea which is which.
Anyways- yeah. That's how you tell them apart. But all bikes look the fucking same these days, for the most part.
I got them all right, but I had to look at them and think about it for a few minutes. Except for the triumph.... but even then, it's starting to look more and more like the jap crap.
I'll take my BMW any day... unmistakable when you look at it.

Your talking about Japanese designers in a race that almost everyone looks the exact same except for this detail here and this detail there. See the correlation?
And given what I have just said, what we both pointed out is exactly what they implied as differences. An even biggere challenge than de-badging the decals would be to remove all of the fairings and then try to figure out which is which.

fairings AND exhaust... the exhaust alone gives all of them away.

This is completely out of the scope of this thread. My original comment that kicked all this off, was referring to the fairings. How ridiculously similar sportbikes have become save a plastic bit here or there.
Seeing as how the majority of sportbike riders ditched the fugly ass stock exhaust for aftermarket(at least slip on), comparing stock exhaust can(s) is no more valid than comparing stock fenders.

I didn't mean to come off racist or anything, even though that is the exact impression my comment leaves about me. I was sharing what I thought to be a correlation and I do not mean to offend anyone.
