Most reviews I've come across have put Aprilia's Dorsoduro ahead of the ducati HM - have you had a chance to test ride them back to back?
(My father says his next commuting bike will be a Dorsoduro, fwiw)

The Dorsoduro is also on my list to test; haven't yet.

Super jealous of the aluminum tank and red frame on the 848 EVO Corse SE. Other than that, I'll keep my base model '08.
I must admit, the 1199 in white is growing on me.......

The fact that Ducati is selling an upspec model with an aluminum tank while keeping the defective ones on the base model just really turns me off to them.

Definitely understand your point. I bought mine at the end of Aug last year with 4k miles and am now at roughly 17k. Non-heated garage during the winter months (I never even put Stabil in it due to being able to ride every single month with the mild winter) and no expanding tank issue yet (knock on carbon), but am curious to know how the dealer will handle it if it happens.
It is very weird that it happens to some OEM tanks and not to others.
