while I would say that would be true, rossi has next to zero chance of even tying Agos number of titles. he'd have to win every title from now to when he's nearly 40.
I just can't see that happening. he might have magic number 10 in him yet, but even that is not the greatest chance.
race winner? most definitely. in the rain, on the M1, the man is akin to senna in a mclaren on a wet day.
he's obviously no slouch in the dry either.

Maybe not overall total titles, but one more MotoGP title and they'd be tied for premier-class crowns.

Very true. Vale has already passed him for premier-class victories (79 to 68) and is within striking distance of total wins. It won't be easy for Vale to hit that mark, but it is within sight.

Yeah...personally, I think another title is going to be a stretch at this point, but I would thoroughly enjoy being proven wrong.

Spies wouldn't give a specific name, but here's what he said.
"I had food poisoning at Mugello," Spies wrote. "Bad food poisoning. I shouldn't even have started the race. I got sick in my helmet, and afterward, I was dry-heaving and shaking uncontrollably.
"Yamaha stayed in Italy and tested the next day, but I didn't ride. I couldn't ride. I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything. A senior Yamaha employee--that's as specific as I'm going to get-said to me: 'We've invested a lot of money in you. Don't come to Laguna Seca if you aren't 100 percent.'
"Then, he added, 'We've lost confidence in you.'
"That was the moment--the halfway point of the season, just before the two U.S. rounds at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Indianapolis Motor Speedway--when I decided I wasn't going to ride for Yamaha in 2013. I have a lot of good friends at Yamaha, but when someone talks down to you like that, you lose respect for them."

now see that I didn't know.
however, I stand by what I said. I don't see rossi winning a championship unless he gets some luck against lorenzo. pedro needs to run away at the start, or else rossi can out race him, no doubt in my mind. but Jorge is good enough to run away, AND he can hang in there in a tight race. is Vale is in good form, it'll be close, methinks, but Jorge will get it in the end.
No comment on marquez or the others for next season just yet.

People forget that just since Vale road troubled machine for two years does not mean he has lost his talent.

Vale doens't have to run GP and Moto2 at once either. Ago ran the 500 and 350 classes ...every weekend.

But, the fact that you “certainly hope” I wear a helmet is so condescending it makes me want to ride a tricycle completely naked doing doughnuts in your front yard screaming Beastie Boys lyrics at midnight. Trust me, you do not want that. My buttocks are extremely pale and unsightly, especially in moonlight.

I'm a staunch Vale fan, his performances helped me get into motoGP.
you don't lose that talent magically, no.
But I'm saying he's probably not going to be as dominant as he once was. that's it.
