A "motor" was pretty much just a rebuild-- not a completely new motor... I read that in an earlier link.

I recently read that the rebuilds meant new cases every 2-3 "rebuilds", new heads at least every other. Cranks, con rods, and cams as needed but usually not more than 4 races. So, those engines really didn't last too long.
