I need some heated gear. Maybe I'll treat myself for Christmas.

Its "expensive" but well worth every penny. Get a heated vest, and heated gloves, with an external thermostat.

Seriosuly, I was born and raised in the caribean, and I cant stand the cold weather. Its so bad, that I wear my winter jacket when it hits 40F outside, but when it comes to riding, I dont even look at the temps, only look for snow, if it rained, or ice.

just for fun...
back in 2006 a new R1 was $11,300 and the R1-LE with ohlins suspension and forged marchesini wheels was $18,000.

so the HP4 edition isn't too crazy in terms of pricing compared to japanese

Yeah I noticed the Puerto Rican flag in your avatar.

Thanks for the tip.

We're getting in the 30's regularly, and sometimes the 20's here. We did have some snow this week, so a couple days off riding, but it didn't stick, and this weekend is supposed to be warmer.

I got heated gloves and a plug-in on the bike for them last winter, and am very happy with that. Everything else I can manage fine with some layering of clothes, but the hands need heat.
