Oh, you can bet it HAS come up. Rather excessively.
MotoGP and WSBK put very different stress on the chassis, be it for the very different tyres, electronic controls, or simply because of the speeds.
But even so, it's debatable wether Ducati's problems with the CF monocoque in MotoGP were based on the use of CF. The D16 had/has several more, perhaps bigger problems with achieving the desired feeling for their riders.
Having said that, the relative performance of the Panigale in SBK is yet to be proven, and I hope we can see a man like Checa taking a shot at it.
