CotA MotoGP Tickets
Are now on sale! Paddock passes will go on sale later, but right now you can get your tickets. Honestly, I'd spend the extra money if I were you and get reserved rather than GA. Much better views. I'll be in turn 15!
Grey areas are general admissions.
Let me know if any of you guys are going!!!

<---- Jealous. There is a race at Laguna Seca, but not sure if it'll be feasible to go, especially since it's on a Sunday and I have to pick my son up that day. Although it would give me a great excuse to take him (and myself) to our first Moto GP race, AND visit my buddy in Santa Cruz at the same time, maybe even my sister though she's a bit further north. I'll have to see how things look financially after the first of the year.

I went to the F1 race there this weekend. 7 or 8 of the grey General Admission areas on your map are actually grandstands and were reserved seating for the F1 race. ALL the views are good. I don't know if they're GA just because they don't expect as big of a crowd or if they're gonna take the stands down(not likely). I had GA tickets for the F1 race and all GA tickets were grassy hill seating. Although the view was exceptional, I vowed to get a seat for MotoGP and the next F1, because it was hard to navigate up and down the crowd packed hill to get concessions or hit the bathroom. If anyone has questions about the track, let me know.

Sounds good. I got out of town for F1, too damn crowded and traffic pissed me off. Going to school Friday took an hour longer than it normally does :/ I can't wait to ride this track, but not sure if it'll happen next year. They're being flip floppy on prices, and its already pretty damn expensive to rent out.

I was at the F1 race too and the track is amazing! I had GA tickets and sat on the grassy hill in turn 19. That's a really nice spot for seeing the bikes come off of the fast turn 18 and downhill into turn 19. then quick on the throttle up to the tight turn 20.
I also snuck into the turn 12 grandstand for practice. That turn 12-15 area is great for seeing the action, but none of those corners are particularly fast so i felt that it was a bit of a let down, but for bikes it'll probably be a lot better.
Lots of passing into turn 1, so that'll be a good spot to see some action too.

Hey! I sat on the grass at turn 19 too! Man, getting outta there for food or bathroom was craaaazy. On Saturday I went up to turn 1. I agree, that would be a cool vantage point too.

Nice! There was a nice atmosphere in Turn 19. A lot of die hard fans. I'm glad I got there pretty early because it filled up fast and it was damn near impossible to move around on race day. That's also one of the closest corners to the track.
Unfortunately there wasn't much over-taking in Turn 19 on race day for the F1 cars. But in the support races there was a lot of over-taking in that turn. And it was a good spot to watch the F1 practice and qualifying. Next year I will probably sit in Turn 1 or Turn 12 for the actual race.

Agreed. I bought my ticket on the market after the race was sold out. For the price I paid, I could have had a nice seat in 1 or 12.

I'm tryign to figure out teh COTA website. All I can see are packages that include a bunch of crap I don't want. is there a way to simply buy tickets in the T1 grandstand. If not, where do I buy General Admission tickets?

The CotA website isn't that great, here is a link specifically for MotoGP. Click on if you'd like reserved or GA tickets, and then buy from there

Hi, Thanks for the link. I looked at the COTA site and did not find anything about GA tickets. Called the 866 number and they didn't have any info, took my information and will contact later.
From the information I read about the F1 fan carry in restrictions, beverage prices and traffic problems I hope they improve things by the time Moto GP arrives.
Jim
