Well, there's been so much happening off the track that I don't have a clue where to start with this race. I'll just hope for some close racing

I'm feeling similar.

Hence the reason I am taking Lorenzo for the win because overall he is doing best so I think it is safest to say, with the knowledge and wisdom available to me, that he is most favored to win in my mind given the overall craziness happening this season.

It'd be nice if we have some tight battles at the front!

Going to be a green track tomorrow...rained pretty hard late this afternoon, should stop soon.

So the top 7 moto 2 bikes would take 16-22 in the motogp class, dropping the current 16 man to 23.

Steve Rapp and Attack did not do the session after encountering technical issues.

Pedrosa's Honda was trapped at 208mph on Indy's straight.

Stoner had a bad session with a defective shock or brakes. After several frustrating stints he returned to the garage and swapped to his B bike. At the end of the session that one rolled over and he had to pushed in by Colin Edwards.

Hector Barbera smashed a bone in his spine and will stay in a local Indy hospital overnight. Elias will replace him for the weekend.

Sigh. You obviously have zero medical experience, or you would have never made this comment. Very helpful... Really.

As medical staff, or any first responder, you assume anyone with back and/or neck pain, or a significant mechanism of injury, has spinal injuries. If your assumption is wrong, you've done no harm by treating the patient as if they have a spinal injury. If the patient does have spinal injuries and you don't make this assumption, you could have just created a quadriplegic/paraplegic. This is first responder 101 stuff here.

this just in:

football players can play all they want, even when their vision is blurred to the point of being unable to make out the sideline signs.

racers who crash and get up should be airlifted o a hospital every time.

that makes sense.

but anyways, Max for the Monday morning QB MVP.

This isn't Monday Morning QBing. No Xray machine is needed. This is basic first responder stuff. I would have assumed all corner workers were at least given a couple minute talk on how NOT to carry someone away.

If someone needs carried away, this is not the way to do it... Unless the person needs to be moved in a hurry to avoid being run over, etc. If you saw a bike in front of you on the highway go down, would you grab a buddy and pick him up and move him around like that?

Why do you insist they were doing the right thing? It's not inconceivable that people make mistakes.

While it would be pretty cool to do, I'll stick with medical school.

it wasn't the comment. they probably should have taken those precautions.

it was the assertion that he was more qualified to do their job than they were. He somehow, through sitting at his computer and having no real knowledge of the situation, knew better than they did, and felt obligated to give us all a completely useless "first response 101" course.
but of course, his opinion is fact.
our opinion is like, our opinion, man.
So you agree with my assertion that they should have taken more precautions? Yet you still felt the need to disagree with me? I don't know what your deal is man. I really don't. Do you feel threatened or intimidated by me and need to lash out or something? Lately you've been following me around the forum just to disagree with me. Now you've admitted that you agree with my position on the subject, yet argue with me about it... Do you just enjoy bickering with me? Because I sure as hell don't enjoy it.

For the record, I likely am more qualified than they are to care for an injured person. I spent ten years as a medic in the army national guard and have done three overseas deployments, two of them combat tours. I'm currently halfway through medical school. I have an inkling of an idea how to care for a trauma patient.
