Only one month to go and MotoGP will be back!!!

So, who's your pick? We'll revive this thread at the end of the season :D

I say it's Stoner's to lose. But tires and fuel will play a part in him retaining his crown.

OK, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!

I put up a pool in the casino for this (click link below). I can't do a direct link, so go under "betting" and then click on the triangle next to "motorcycle racing". It should drop a box for the GP prediction pool and you click on that and the names come up. Let me know if you have any trouble placing a bet.

MINIMUM BET IS $100 - I put $1000.00 on Stoner.

I haven't said this since he came to the big leagues, but I'm looking for Spies to be a contender. He.s not an alien but pre-season testing clearly showed him being more comfortable on the b***** bike.

He'll still have to outrace Pedrosa and Lorenzo but I can see him on a few podiums this year.

Their transmission isn't that special. Ducati has one as well and it isn't worth much. Jerry Burgess reckons its worth maybe a few thousandths a shift. Honda will be better over a quicker lap and will have more horsepower but the Yam has much kinder power delivery and will put its power to the ground better, I think. Not sure about Spies yet, he was just as quick in testing last year. Hopefully this next year will be better for him than last year.

honda has some problems with tire consumption, being able to run a half second faster then everyone else means nothing if you are running 2 seconds slower then everyone else for the last 5-10 laps. i think we will see a 2008 repeat by stoner, a whole lot of crashing and excuses.

Actually. I would take in trade.
Let me explain my theory.
If you run 2 seconds faster in the beginning of the race you get to leave the pack. Once out front you don;t have to ride a defensive line anymore. THe ones left behind still have ti run a defensive line so probbaly wont have enough time to catch up later in the race eventough you are running slower way up front. Hope that made sense.

Last season was the 1st year that I followed fairly religiously, having said that I think the "smart money" goes to Stoner.

I am looking forward to seeing how the Ducati team does as well. There has got to be some progression from 2011.

You armchair racers need to see things for what they are. Ivan Silva is the saviour of the sport. He is blindingly quick and even if he's hampered by his botch job of a bike, he will put the likes of Lorenzo and Stoner in their place. Deffinately World Champion this year. Bunch of fanboys you guys are.

follow it a little closer, honda stopped a day of testing for a engine light, and the fact that stoner is not good on tires is another story in itself. things are going to be interesting this year.

I can't fukn' stand stoner. Just the the sight of that fukn' windbag makes me wanna kick kittens. I voted for him to take the championship this year despite the fact that I hope he doesn't.
