This is the first sportbike I ever rode. It was sooooooo fast
1988 Honda Hurricane 600
I put a lot of mileage on that Honda (belonged to a buddy of mine that coveted my Jeep)
First "big" bike I ever rode
1988 Honda Magna
Solid disk rear wheel, V4 powered beast. My uncle bought one and gave me his old 500 Shadow to learn to ride on. Something about that bike made me smile. Heavy as shite back then) tho

You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

We owned a half dozen different sportbikes in that time frame. The best was this 600:

In the late 80's while in H.S, I had an '82 KZ750, and my neighbor had had one of these...have wanted one ever since.

When we first moved to San Antonio in 1987 there were a bunch of dealers in town (all but a few would be out of business by 1990). Most of them had brand new models that were one or two years old on the showroom floor for peanuts. Like Suzuki GS1150's for $3000.00. Those were the days.
Being stupid, I had to buy something from the new model year. If I remember right though, my 87 Hurricane 600 had an MSRP of only $3999.

87 FZ750, Not exactly a favorite. A big heavy pig, but put on a lot of good miles on her. got her with 30 something K on the clock and had 70 something when I sold her.

Christian's kinda like you. Doesn't post much, but it's often something pretty cool when he does.
