I thought I had read in Motorcyclist magazine that the system weighed 23+ pounds, but they hardly noticed the weight because it was so centralized.

I go Beltway blitzin' on my mad mofo musclebike WFO. Its a true choice, a god-like experience if you will. The thought that I could buy the farm in a spectacular fireball...................well, that gives me a stiffie! Tesco Vee/The Meatmen
The RSV4 is an amazing bike. Like I had said when I posted this info in another thread, I can't wait for the BMW S1000RR to get added to the comparisons. I'm also hoping KTM changes their mind and brings the RC8R to the US.

it pretty much all looks the same to me. with the exception of the weight of some of those bikes. 35lbs is a lot to give up to another bike in the same class. the lap time on the aprilia, at least from the one rider, is quite noticeable as well. i wonder why the other rider wasn't able to gain similar results? did aprilia not pay him enough?
Those bikes are so close it's not funny. Lap times on a well-prepped track are one thing, riding on the road is another. You should list wheel-base, rake and trail (I bet they do). The more stable bike might be the best street bike. Then again it's all about emotion. I would probably enjoy the meanest bike the most. Of course I have to pay off my credit card debt before I can buy any bike .

Don Canet is the senior editor for the magazine. Pascal Eckhardt is a professional rider, hence more able to extract the 10/10ths out of a bike. I'm sure no one on here could match Canet's times, let alone Echardt's. Maybe you should know what you are talking about before you post non-sense and sound retarded. There are gaps between Don and Pascal on every bike.

Perhaps I should only post serious comments and questions from now on? 'Cause my last comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Thanks for the response, btw.
p.s. I'm hoping one day I can throw enough money in to riding so that I can grow my lack of skill and ability to a point where my lap times are respectable to all of those skilled track riders out there. As for now, Canet may own me with his incredible natural ability, but one day his time will come.
Yeah, haven't been able to ride it yet, but after sitting on an '08 and then an '09 R1 back to back and there was a hugely obvious weight difference.
