Default Kapsco Moto Alarms?

Kapsco Moto

Anyone ever use one? I don't really care for the remote start feature...if I get it, I'll think of another creative purpose for that signal wire most likely lol... Just wondering if anyone has ever used/installed one? Looks like a decent little set up, and not a bad price at all.

Imagine remote starting your bike and it just jerks off the stand LMAO

Mine should be here tomorrow. Definitely not hooking up the remote start, but I'm definitely going to try to think of something else creative to do with that signal wire lol

Also, on a GSXR you'd have to disable the clutch switch for it to work. Bike won't start without the clutch pulled in. But if you do that, you're knocking a few RPM's off the top of your bike. I think with the clutch pulled in the bike will only rev to 1500 RPM below redline or something of that nature. Can't remember for sure, but either way... not safe to have remote start on a bike.

Scorpio alarms are a good reputable alarm, and come with OEM specific connectors so no splicing is required. but they are in the range of $300 for the high end alarms. I thought I'd give $90 shipped a try before throwing down $300 on one lol

okay, so the wiring diagram for installation that came with this thing is the most horrible excuse for a wiring diagram I've ever seen in my life. I had to decipher a LOT of wiring diagrams when I was in the Air Force, so I THINK I may have gotten it figured out...was planning on installing tonight, but it took me about 2.5 hours to get this figured out, so I think I'm going to wait till this weekend to install it so I can to some trial and error if necessary.

I would hate for anyone else to ever have to go through with this, so after I get it figured out, I'm going to draw up a REAL wiring diagram and send it to the damn company so they can make their customers a little happier.

hey if a former recovered motorcycle thief that steal bikes to a) sell as a full bike b) part out on ebay or c) let it end up in some stunters garage recommends scorpio alarms then you better believe that scorpio alarms are the best and it isn't some mastermind agenda by bike thieves to get people to buy scorpio alarms b/c they have the master code to disarm them on their bike thief forum...
