View Poll Results: Which foot do you place on the ground?
Left foot down, right on the brake. I'm left handed, but that's got nothing to do with anything.

I go Beltway blitzin' on my mad mofo musclebike WFO. Its a true choice, a god-like experience if you will. The thought that I could buy the farm in a spectacular fireball...................well, that gives me a stiffie! Tesco Vee/The Meatmen
Right handed, place left foot down. If i'm going to be waiting awhile at a light, and the people behind me have already stopped, I pop it into neutral and rest my right foot on the brake and give my hands a stretch/ rest them on the tank. Then usually I'll think about how badass I probably look sitting there on my bike. Big ballin and shit. If there's a hottie in the car next to me, I think "fuck yeah! glad I have this tinted visor", to which I proceed to strain my eyes to the left or right and eye-molest her without turning my head in her direction. The perfect crime.

I don't think it has to do with what your dominant hand is. left foot goes down first since both brakes are used to stop.
The MSF also taught to stay in gear at stops so you can take off at a moments notice. I don't trust the dummy behind me at the stop to not creep forward into me.
Also great point about the tinted visor eye-molest. Hooray for the tinted visor!
I can't recall exactly what they taught us in MSF now, but normally I put the left down. If the road is uneven etc I put both down. Or if it's a long light I'll pop in neutral, and then it's left down again and hold the bike on the rear brake. I'm a righty. The driver examiner wanted to see both feet down first, then right foot on the brake.
