General SportbikesThis area is made for sportbikes in general. Posts that dont really belong anywhere else besides here. Questions can be answered and addressed to fully understand certain aspects. If your question is Manufacturer specific please post it there.
There was a thread on another board about the 2009 motorcycles that China is making. I just took out the other bikes and listed the 2 sportbikes I found. Probably still junk bikes but it looks like they are improving little by little each year.
First up is the Phoenix R2. This has been seen numerous times already, but for 2009 they are bumping up 250cc.
I want to find more pics of thumper from different angles. it looks like it has an undertail exhaust.
Zumina: No clue on the price since you have to buy at least 24 of them. From the previous prices I've seen posted on these chinese bikes I would guess the bike cost under $2000 US.
I actually kind of like the screaming baby shit brown bike as its a different color.
I dont think your going to see alot of new competition guys with the current economy, everyone is hurting, in about four or five years, but right now, its all just a pipe dream.
But those are a damn nice looking ride. and actually have their own look, what a concept.
Tokico brakes on the 500.At least thats a good sign right?
I would rock that 500 any day. As long as it wasnt in that mud color.
Maybe Tokico. Maybe not.
Remember, there aren't a ton of laws in China that say you can't just make your product look like something and then use that somethings name.
So you and I could go over there and put some shit in a box and call them Tokico brakes and it would be all good.

With that said, I know a guy that's got a Chinese bike. It's a Qlink. It's a nice bike. I've tooled around on it for a few minutes and it seemed to run really well.
They actually make a few pretty sweet looking motards.

No, they have those laws, just nobody gives a shit about them. I Korea I've seen cops buying bootlegged DVDs and other shit. Hell, I have fake Puma shoes and even a fake Louis Vuitton belt. They never try to fool you if something is fake or not. If you ask them, they'll tell you if it is.
