No, I haven't ridden a Busa but indeed now I want to see how one feels. Is the seat and riding position as comfortable a the B-King? I have seen this guy ride one up at VIR and he doesn't do too bad, we call him the Busa Man. He is tough on the front straight but we get back by him by the second or third turn.

If it looks ugly to you, just ride it and it will look puurrty to you from then on. One of the best bikes I've ever ridden.

Seriously, if you haven't ridden one, and are dismissing it based off of its looks, you are making a huge mistake. Knowing what I know about it, it is one of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen.

...No, I won't - that's dumb.

Tough on the straight? LIkely he is untouchable comared to anything but a new liter bike. I have tracked Busas before and they do just as well as any 600 on the sweepers but on the tight turns they just can't keep up due to the size and wheel base. But those things add stability at high speeds - so its a toss up. At the tracks Ive been to, I was FAR ahead on the straights and the pack didnt catch me for much of the course - until I hit VERY tight turns.

On a side notye - I like the B King but I ride in cold weather and need a faring to keep my azz warm at hwy speeds.

Wow, those handlebars on the Hayabusa are quite a bit lower. The B-King actually looks like a pretty comfy bike now.

Yep, you're meant to be tucked in on the busa and sitting up on the b-king. You think that automatically means more comfort, and you'd be right in some cases. I went from an F4i to a naked SV650 and rode every day for over a year. OMG the comfort difference and ease of turn in was incredible. I thought I'd never go back to clipons.

Then I did a 3 hour ride through death valley, and got a cross town job that required a freeway commute. Ooops. On the freeway at speed you're being blown back by the wind, holding on to the bars, neck sore from wind buffet. I added a VFR to the stable. Eventually I wasn't riding the SV much at all, then I got helibars for the viffer. Sold the SV shortly after.

Well, I finally returned the beast today and all I could tell the dealership was that after riding the used B-King for a week I could find nothing wrong with the bike. Someone will be getting a nice used bike with 9,000 miles on it in good condition and should be able to ride the wheels off of it. I kinda hated taking it back to the dealer. I will be picking up another bike they took on trade tomorrow to see what kind of shape it is in. Tough job but someone has to do it.
