Default The jumper mod for the 05-06 zx6r REALLY Works!!

I just got off my lazy ass and actually did a pretty simple mod that made my bike even better than before. I did what is called a jumper mod that sets the bike from USA spec to Euro spec. Here is the website:

I-Hacked.com Taking Advantage Of Technology - Hacking a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

At first I was skeptical, I thought my bike was performing 100% already and because I ridden other 600CC SS bikes and find this bike to have the most usable power. Well After I applied the mod it made something very good already into something DAMN GOOD!!

I notice how when I ride it hard to redline it seems to lose steam just little after 14,000 RPMS. Now when I hit 14,000 RPMs it pulls even harder all the way to at least 16,500 RPM. What I have been missing between 14,000 and 17,000rpms has been filled now. I am even more impressed by my bike more than ever before.

A few hours ago I had a friend take his bike, same as mine, his is a 05 ZX6R and mine was a 06 ZX6R. We both have same mods. Pipe, power commander 3. My pipe was two brothers V.A.L.E Titanium dual under tail and his was an Acrapovic Single under tail. My bike had the jumper mod while my friends did not.

We found an open stretch of country road and drag raced it head to head. and 5 out of 5 times I was leading 4 bike lengths by the time I hit 140 MPH. and usually we would be head to head all the way to 140mph without the jumper mod. My friend is very impressed and he want to mod his bike too. I promised him a rematch. I will give you results later on that too.

So everyone with a 03-06 Kawasaki ZX6R ZX636 or ZX6RR do yourself a favor and uncork that bike!!!! Unleash its full potential!!

Nothing like a good drag race to 140 mph on public streets.

If your bike is already tuned/custom map power commander etc, will this mod still do good? will it have to be re-tuned after the mod?

Not sure where these 16,500 and 17,000 RPM figures are coming from, seeing as the 636 redlines at 15,500.

Default Powercommander with wire jump mod

Keep using the US Powercommander maps; the Euro spec are tuned for Euro fuel, not the good ol' US gas we get here.

Works on the '06 as well.

You *might* see sub optimal performance out of your Power Commander right at the top end of the tach (the only place this mod makes any difference.) But, I would expect it would be minimal. If you don't like it you can always pull the wire/paperclip back out.

If that happens, just richen up the top end a bit, that should take care of it.
