2009 YZF-R1 Pic

Just thought I'd share this since I'm very interested in the new R1...

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, I've heard that the image below is very close to the R1 that is coming out for the 2009 model year. This image was recently published in a Japanese sportbike magazine and I believe they obtained it from a European publication. I definitely like the front much better than that in the images from some of the other 2009 R1 concepts floating around the Net.

Apparently this image is a scan from the actual magazine (I saw this magazine in person too) so there's a crease in the pic, but you can still see most of the bike pretty clearly.

Seems like Yamaha 1000cc is trying to copy the "chop & channel" move that Honda CBR 10000 came out with in '08. I still like the looks of my '03 Honda 954 for appearance.

It's going to have a semi-automatic transmission apparently (a speed shifter?). Neato.

I think it looks pretty badass, just needs better coloring.

I actually like it. I like the red seats as well. I wouldn't buy one, but I would like to see one in person.
