.....There are rumors that Suzuki, which has never run more than two motorcycles in GP in the modern era, will break with tradition and run three bikes in 2009. ....
ok, there are rumours he might ride a Suzuki in MotoGp next year, but he's a wild card in the two US gp's this year ... so what exactly will he be riding in those two MotoGp races ? .... Vermeulens spare bike or Capirossis spare bike .. or a GSXR1000 AMA bike ?
...and if it is a full on motogp bike he's got no chance without a lot of practice time on the bike, MotoGp bikes and Superbikes (WSB, AMA or BSB) are like chalk and cheese.
...just interested, it's always good to new riders in a series....but ....
Mat would crush most WSBK riders and be a threat for a podium or win every race. He is a top tier racer, by any standard. He topped the time charts at Phillip Island during a WSBK practice session. He stays in AMA because he chooses to stay in AMA. Besides, he already did a stint in MotoGP (Cagiva 500cc)
Sorry JK, I don't think he'll beat Hayden. At least not this year.
Care to make it interesting??? I'll bet $5000 casino cash that Spies beats Nicky Hayden at one of the USGPs, at least.
Remember Roger Hayden did pretty well as a wild card entry last year at Laguna, finishing up in the points on a Kawasaki. Spies is a far better rider than Roger, and the bikes are on similar levels. Duhamel was a wild card on a Honda RC212V and DNF'd.

A GSXR1000 would not be allowed in MotoGP, there's a reason the bikes are like chalk and cheese. Superbikes are allowed very few non-production parts, and MotoGP bikes are allowed NO production parts.

Yosh may be packing up for somewhere else, but I doubt it would be MotoGP. WSB or a new series in the states would be logical though.

Spies has said on several occasions that he'd like to get to MotoGP. I'm glad he's getting a 'tryout' with Suzuki. It's a shame their bike never seems to progress enough to be competitive.

i'll go $3000 and the bet is: I say Nicky places higher than Ben no matter who does or doesn't finish. We can do it for both races separately if you like
OK??

I have to save my casinio cash for a bet in P&R but I'll be following this bet closely. I'd put my money on Hayden. I predict Spies crashes at one of the races.
