Why is that?

I have money, just don't want to spend 5 grand on a fucking GSXR, some of us have to pay for college lol

Oh I have a car as well, I've had it for five years, Honda Accord, but I'm selling it, you want it? 600 bucks man

Nothing in my post said you're new to bikes.

Prices may be different down there I guess because I've never seen any decent SVs for that price. Why would you be more likely to have an accident in FL?! Because of the incredible amount of elderly drivers. Its a retirement center and they are generally far less aware than people half their age. Not to mention that if it is your DD more miles=more chance to have an accident.

And this matters how? you could just as easily die in your sleep, Your an ex-marine, you should know the mentality.

I hate the notion that you can't have just a bike for transportation, and if you do you're somehow a nutcase.

Oh, and about the SV's they were in good running condition, both with high miles, and one had a rather nasty dent in the tank from a drop. They were also both 1st gens and naked versions.

Just to clear thigns up lol

Yeah, time to leave this thread, the totally awesome "I'm superior to you in every way" clan has whored it all up.

You apparently fail at understanding simple logic.

You are more likely to die riding a bike in an accident vs a car, thus why I said you should have full gear and are more likely to an accident in FL due to elderly drivers.

I hate the fact that people fail to simply read the words typed and take them for their literal meaning instead of somehow twisting them to mean what they perceive. I never once inferred that you were a nutcase. I ride my bike as a DD unless I absolutely have to use the truck.

WOW

You fail just as badly at understanding simple logic, it's quite obvious that as a whole the sentence refers to the general public, as in not you, as in not singular.

And do you have proof that the elderly cause more accidents than every other group of motorists?

Get over yourself.

Work on paying for college. If you have that little money, you don't need the overhead of a motorcycle.

Katana aren't bad bikes to begin on - there are better choices, but the parts are plentiful and cheap, and they are reliable. The only drawback is they are heavy mofos. Comfortable for long trips though.
