I have the scorpion alarm. Just the basic model with the two way pager. The 1/2 mile distance is a joke. "Maybe" if it was a sunny day and the bike was up on a hill and you had perfect line of site to it. The knock sensor isn't as sensitive as I'd like. Make sure to get the remote that comes with a charger. I can't imagine how much money you'd spend on batteries without it. Other than those few complaints, I really like the alarm. It just fits under the seat on 07, 08 cbr600's. Install is pretty easy as well.

Overall, I like it. The unit is a little big, so fitting it was a pain. It will only go in one place on a CBR600RR. The left side fairing, close to the headlight.

And billcosby is right. The 1/2 mile is a joke. But I love my remote. It tells me how it went off (ignition, impact, or tilt). The sensitivity is outstanding. my 6 lb cat can get on the bike, and it will go off. If it thunders too loud, it goes off. Of course it's adjustable, though. I like it. I would recommend it to anybody.

+1 for the Scorpio 2-way w/ perimeter sensor. It's a an added peace of mind if you're nearby (restaurants, garage, and small hotels) and within 'kicking ass' distance. Just don't depend on it for a total sense of security.

What I want is a motorcycle seat that recognizes my ass imprint. It would be spring loaded with barb-tipped steel spikes that would shoot thru the seat if it wasn't my ass on it. That would sell like hotcakes.
