I didn't really know anything about these bikes until about a month ago. I finally found a dealer here in WA state. I was surprised it didnt have the radical lean like I have on my GSXR. One thing I love about this bike is that its pretty unique. You dont see them everywhere like you do "the big 4". I have an "in" at this dealership so I might think about getting one.....
Last weekend I rode my friends brand new '07 Aprilia RSV 1000 home from the dealership for him. ~200 miles. Just like the one above except different paint.
Seem like nice bikes. Took awhile to finally loosen up and break in. Stainless steel braided brake lines from the factory. Good power. Wish it had a steering damper on it. That's available on the factory. It feels like a big bike. Very wide with a huge tank laid out under you.
My main gripe is that I'm a narrow person and the seat was too wide. Where my legs went off the seat I was getting a lot of pressure and ended up with my right leg going numb at one point. Pulled over and was hopping around on the shoulder of the road like an idiot. So, the seat doesn't fit me. Big deal, your mileage may vary.
...That first naked bike looks a bit too angular and sharp for my tastes...however, that fully faired model looks nice...Its no R1 though...

...The thing that noobs don't get is that bikes aren't cars. With a car, more or less, you're as fast as your wallet allows. A bike is far more skill oriented. Way more. It's like skiing. You could go buy the fastest race skis available, but if you don't know how to ski, all you're going to do is crash. Its the same, exactly the same with bikes.
If I could, I would have bought a Tuono a long time ago. The "mouth" looks a bit odd on the newer ones compared to the earlier models front, but I coudl live with it no problem!

I agree completely about the front end looks. The previous generation was better looking from an aesthetic point of view. I thought about one before I bought the Speed Triple SE I had (never would have sold that bike if I hadn't needed the money for medical bills, the Speed Triple is the perfect real-roads bike in my world).
