Your on the highway at 1am doing your thing over a well lit roadway. Seriously, if there are no taillights up the road, who the fuck are you endagering besides yourself?
Who the hell are you endangering besides your self ripping a wheelie down some backroad with noone but the cop hiding in the bushes to even see?
I wanna see the statistic's of injurys motorcycle's cause to car drivers to warrant making sportbikes public enemy number 1? Im willing to put my last dollar on the bet that car's cause motorcyclist's way more injurys and death's than it would ever be visa versa.
Im a 365 pound plus gas and my 205 pound body projectile. How much fucking damage am i going to fucking make? How about if they really wanna save lives they make every road have a motorcycle only lane thats a car lenth from other traffic. With gas prices and economey the motorcycle industry is booming and there are more and more and will be even more as the gas prices keep rising. They need to make our safty priority if they insist on pushing paper, cause where the ones loosing limb's , dieing, and bleeding because of the cars. not the other way around.
Just a couple examples.....
Racing motorcycle flips car, driver killed
From The Miami Herald
FORT LAUDERDALE - An unidentified man was killed today after he was hit by a racing motorcycle as he pulled out of a bakery in a 4-door sedan.
A red Honda motorcycle was racing a silver Subaru at speeds police say were over 100 miles per hour when the Honda impacted the sedan.
Police say the motorcycle did several complete rotations in the air and the rider was thrown through the air but is expected to live.
According to investigators, the sedan was hit so hard that it flipped through the air. The driver, who worked at the bakery, died en route to the hospital.

My dad knew a guy who was killed when two guys on a bike hit his truck at like 150 MPH and flipped it, and the guys on the bike survived (after flying about 100 yards).
You've got to be a moron if you think a motorcycle won't kill someone in car.
God i would just love to take I-4 from tampa to daytona at 160 and cut my time in half and not even have to worry about police.
Wish we had a system like germany.
If they had some way of testing your vehicle for what speed you would be going at and deem it safe to a certain speed holy shit heaven on earth, its the retard in the civic trying to push 140 in a grocery getter car that has the malfunction and die's. Not the person in the porche.
I dont know how comfortable i would be going top speed on the gsxr1k the whole way but im sure i could do 150-160 and feel pretty safe about it. with the occasional burst up to top speed.
Im not talking about going 100+ in town and shit. Thats pretty retarded. and i know you will get seriously fucked up or killed if you pull out infront of ANYthing going that fast. Im talking about commuting on the highway.
Most of the time you can get up to these speed's its on the highway, atleast for me.
Yes, the dumb fucks in the city do it to, but if they knew they could go to the highway and do it legally there is no way they would risk everything to do it in the city's.
As written the law is unconstitutional. It provides a the gov't a means of taking possession (not just impounding, the law refers to the contraband act) of the vehicle, which is real property. Now, the contraband act requires that the property be illegal to possess, which is not the case, even should the owners motorcycle license be rendered invalid, they still have the right to possess the property as the motorcycle itself is not illegal.
So, without revising the contraband act, or providing a provision in this bill to allow for the confiscation of the motorcycle by the government, it simply cannot stand as written.

6. 9. Any motor vehicle used during the course of committing an offense in violation of s. 322.34(9)(a).
It looks, Jahx, like you're half right. The new law does not contradict the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act, but the new law is still un-Constitutional because the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act is itself un-Constitutional. However, you may note that its un-Constitutional status has not caused its repeal, nor has that been a problem for any of the other un-Constitutional War-on-Drugs laws (not to mention the whole War on Drugs itself, not to mention about 90% of other laws, the entire Department of Education, Social Security system, etc. etc. etc.). The courts rarely allow you to even bring up the Constituionality of a law as a defense. Reality is: the fuckers don't care.

check out how many deaths there are on the Audubon (sp?) in Germany. We have more deaths in the breakdown lane.
thats because they are taught proper etiquette when on the road, also the road itself is maintained properly (damn near daily). Neither of which exist here in the states.

Seriously, if trucks kept right, and slower more uncomfortable drivers kept right, you could easyly have a 120+ lane, a 100-120 lane, and a under 100 lane. or however you would deem it to be safist. give each lane a 2 or 3 foot gap before it ran into the lane next to it. Hell yeah... life would be so much easyer.
Does this meen if I am in one of the two trucks we have at work that will do 100mph+ (not that I would have first hand knowledge of this) that I can run the left lane
