because you shouldn't be doing 30 over....whats so hard about that. keep it on the track if you want to go fast.
They won't be taking my bike and license because i'm not doing a 100 in a 70. I won't lie, i have but the law never stated that before. I'm older now and try not to do more then 10 over. I've been staying pretty close to the speed limit nowadays though.

Tell that to CA. They have been confiscating the vehicles of repeat street racers for a few years now.
OP, your link sucks. It goes to the news main page, and I'm way too lazy to search for this story. Does the new proposed law say this is only for motorcycles? If so then it needs to be shot down big time. If it's equal for all types of vehicles, I still dont like it much, but also dont see a need for doin more than 30 over.

I don't do 30 over on the highway very often, the ticket risk is just too high. However there are roads near me that have 35 mph speed limits. No one drives the limit. It is simply too low. 45 mph would get me ran down from behind
I hear ya, we have a 20mph through the main st in town. I idle in first all the way through it but that's the speed limit. I always do the speed limit now and usually have people behind me waving their hands and cussing about 2 feet from my bumper. If they hit me it will be their fault for following to close.
As far as Cali seizing cars, theres plenty of tracks to race at. The illegal street racing should be brought to a track. Again, I use to do that stuff but I was also a punk teenager. People died all the time at the illegal street racing scene in Philly. You grow up and realize all that stupid shit aint worth it.
Same as doing 30 over, theres no reason for it. If the speed limit is 35mph then do it. If someone hits you then you get paid.
