lol, you 18. I would expect a comment like that from someone your age. I've done all that stupid shit and then some. You grow up and realize its not important. I have fun on the dirt, I don't need to race around town 30 miles of the speed limit or pull wheelies on a highway.

I'd rather do the speed limit then get a ticket. If I get a ticket thats food of my childs plate. If I get a ticket I can lose my job. If I get a ticket then it does nothing but bring bad to my plate. So why would I go out and speed. Why would anyone. Then again when I was your age no one could tell me anything. Got speedig tickets, racing tickets and all other kinds of tickets and the older family members would tell me to just obey the speed limit...but nah, I was to smart for them just like you are now.

If I want to "take a fucking chance in life" I go dirt biking or I'll go to a track or so some other "extreme" sport that I like.

This is stupid in so many ways... What's makes motorcyclists more dangerous when reckless driving than cars? If anything I'd be worried about that cager barreling down the highway drunk. At least the biker has a less chance of killing other people (not saying it's right, but the facts are facts).

Most of the speed limits are artificially low due to an outdated traffic survey, i see about 1 out of every 50 cars actually doing the speed limit and then if someone decides to do the same limit next to that car guess what you will have a line of about 20 cars trying to pass.

Too many people who do the speed limit don't want to follow the rules of the road of "slower traffic keep right" they want to do the limit on any lane they want to hence impeding faster traffic which cause more problems then it solves.

And if someone hits you for following 2 closely it wont be there price to pay it will be yours, why you ask? because they are in a giant SUV and your on a bike they will pay IF you survive the actual incident, and believe me getting run over and injured for a low speed limit is not something i find appealing

My motto

Do whatever speed you want too as long as you do it safely. Want to do 100? go ahead if there are no cars around and no streets for traffic to merge into you *Think PCH by bolsa chica beach for you Cali Heads* Watch for cops and be safe and enjoy the ride and watch out for idiots

quick, everyone in florida,go get fasttags!!!ahahaha....if they wanna do that they really should apply the same fine,seizure/suspension to all the jackass's,in all vehicles including all the weiners who "do the speed limit"(which we know is bullshit, cause we see em doin 45 in a 25 every day, down the last road to school, cause if junior is 1 min. late to kindergarten, the world ends),but dont completly stop at stopsigns.or use their turn signals.or any other law, cause they could all just as easily cause a deadly accident...

That's ridiculous. Yeah, 30 over is bad, but I mean, 85 in a 55 on an empty country road shouldn't cause you to lose your license for 10 years. In Wisconsin, if you were in a car, you'd get something like a 250 dollar ticket. You wouldn't even lose your license.

I've never gotten any speeding or racing tickets in my ~3 years of driving/2 of riding, so I guess you and I are a little different.

There's a time and place for everything. One should not lose their license for 10 years just because they got caught ONCE doing 30 over somewhere.

They won't be taking my bike and license because i'm not doing a 100 in a 70. I won't lie, i have but the law never stated that before. I'm older now and try not to do more then 10 over. I've been staying pretty close to the speed limit nowadays though.

Come on Thunder you speed, everyone speeds.
What if your late for work, risk losing your job so you dont lose your bike? that makes no sense.
This is a law that has gone to far. Your guilty of speeding, everyone on this board has and will go way past 30 over the speed limit.

Really, how about going and educating yourself over the entire document, start with the reason for the revolution, then slowly walk your way thru all there quotes and reasoning for everything they did.
When you are done with the Federalist papers, then come on here and run your mouth. Untell then, you dono what the hell your talking about.
Driving may be a privalage (according to sheep), but your Vehicle is your PROPERTY.

"nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

Last time I checked, the Federalist papers weren't the Constitution. So which one are we talking about here? What they actually wrote, or what they hoped would be conveyed thru their own personal bent?

I'm also not "running my mouth", so I'd appreciate you easing up ya hillbilly. Getting your bike taken because you disobeyed the law doesn't fall under the idea of property taken for public use. Any good lawyer will tell you that your vehicle can be seized for certain 'indiscretions' against the law of the land, state, or municipality.

Relax man, your wound up way too tight.

I know in SC anything over 25 you can be taken to jail and your vehicle impounded, car or bike. I'm not sure what the charge is, wreckless endangerment? Of course, it depends on the cop and how cooperative you are. I've been pulled in my cage for 35 over and all I got was a hefty ticket and mandatory court appearance.

See, these are two entirely different issues. I agree, that crap is horrible and it sucks. I live in Arizona, the state where several illegals have killed people, including cops, and the ACLU and bleeding hearts are saying that we don't have the right to punish them. That's crap.

What's also crap though, are these idiots out there putting up ridiculous speeds in COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE areas, and getting the rest of us undue law attention. Like the douche bag here who blew thru a 25 mph SCHOOL ZONE at somewhere over 125. He deserves to get a nice extended stay in prison, AND his bike taken away. Boohoo, he's a moron who obviously can't control himself on a sportbike. Fine, then make sure he can NEVER ride one again. But until there's laws on the books that say we CAN do it, it'll never happen.

Is 30 over a little over-eager? Sure, I'd buy that. So let's set a line somewhere, so that punks like this guy can't kill some innocent kid because he's showing off, or running from the cops.
