Angry puig race screen. disappointed.

so i ordered the puig race screen for my cbr600rr (double bubble)
got it last night
it has some black at the bottom that fades to clear.. that black isnt even close to my bike's black
there is a 1/8 inch gap between the third eye and the bottom of the wind screen
and it really is not double the stock screen it is more like a one and a half bubble, my friend has another brand (im not sure which one) and it is about 2 or 3 inches taller, i like it much better

but the point of the story is i expected better

I've heard some similar stuff over at 600rr.net.

The zero gravity screen is out now. You might consider returning it, and picking that one up.

Also, can you put some pics up of the gap, etc? I haven't seen any good ones yet of it.

The Puig I got was also a major POS.... The brand is waaayyyy over-rated.

Cheers

Yeah, mine didn't fit all that well either. I spent damn near an hour making sure I hadn't overtorqued the hardware and lining it up right, silly stuff like that, shoehorning the thing in, and it still gave me a nice inch long crack over a square edged bump about three weeks later.

I know they're supposed to be "lighter" than stock or whatever marketing tag line they put on it, but I'd take that stupidly miniscule amount of extra weight for better strength.

Dude, he was being serious. Google it, there is a company called "Magical Racing" that makes VERY good windscreens.

my Puig double bubble race screen fit on the SV-650 perfectly and works great.

Sorry to hear about your problems with one though.
