all of those pics are hot except for the 2nd one.

I think if you have a custom paint scheme everyone will recognize the appreciation that you have for your bike but customizing it to match your personality.

Just make sure it isn't fugly. Most people may not make a major change in the paint scheme because of the expense or the difficulty in trying to get in to sell.

i think the pink accents look good, but all pink bikes..... yuck.
i saw a black R6 that had the flames done in pink, like the LE models, looked pretty sweet.

I loved!!! the black with the pink jolly rogers, but then, I'm into pirates... ARGHHH!!! seriously, though, I find that I get more attention than I would like just wearing my black gear on a yellow naked bike. I do like my pink chromed shield, though. I like the boys to know that they just got passed by a girl in the twisties....

I say think about what your favorite color is and just go with that. I am a lot like you in that I think pink is often just a little too girly and too much of an attention grabber.

I love green so when I got an offer to repaint my bike at a good price I had it painted green to match my jeep. Yes, I must admit now I can not find any jackets to match it so I decided to go with an alternative clothes scheme. I have a silver (frame/wheels are silver) green bike and all my gear is silver/white. So it still goes. It is real hard to find the exact matching blue/red/yellow anyway.

Go with what makes you happy... you are the one riding it.

Oh yea... I also think pink really hurts the resale of the bike... lets face it, most sportbike riders are guys and most would not be caught dead on a pink bike

Do it. Even the negative attention from pink color schemes is so amusing. I personally have 3 favorite colors. Yellow, black, and pink. And plan on having a custom paint scheme including all of them.

Yellow and Pink look excellent together IMO and is my absolute favorite. once you match it up with black powder coating it still has an aggressive look.

Back in my hardcore nitro rc days I built one of my trucks to be pink. All custom color.

these are well before I deemed it "finished" but you get the Idea.

all custom.

I say go for it. no solid's. do something simple, yet eye catching. dont rely just on the color to grab someones eye.

If you want to do it, do it. If someone is going to say something negative they will say something negative. It is your bike, your possession, something you paid for. You do what you want to do to it to make yourself comfortable and happy. To me, motorcycles are about self. Some don't care what it is as long as they are riding. Some like the entire package. Some just like the bike.

I'm going to do something in blue and white if I got tired of a one tone bike.

If I saw a girl with a pink bike I'd think she customized it to fit what she wanted. Which is cool. I also hate the color pink, but I dislike red and orange as well.

paint it black with pink and purple flames. I think bikes are an extension of one's personality to a certain extent. do what you like and to anyone that doesn't like it.

I don't always get this "match jacket to paint scheme", you should have some contrast to be more visible. Plus I just look for deals on jackets all the time.

Personally I have always digged white (yeah I know it makes it difficult to clean), so now I have a perf white leather on my redish f4i, wouldn't have it any other way.

I am not big into seriously personalising a bike cause like someone said, resale value. I always look at these bikes people are selling on craigslist which have different cowls, windscreens, pipes... etc.. and I always find something on it I don't like. I like the idea of having the template first.

It's your wheels.. do what you want

How about black with pink 'parts'!! :

I don't get the 'I have to match' thing and really don't give two shits what I look like, but I try not to look in a manner that people instantly know it's a girl. I just don't need or want the attention or the idiots on the highway or anywhere else for that matter, that try to stay with you to wave and make stupid faces from their car full of adolesent, testosterone ladden, immature college boys.

And if I am going to be honest here..I cringe everytime I see a 'pink chic', screaming, look everyone, I'm a girl!!

And that, my friend, is exactly why I prefer my wife to wear pink on her bike. So cagers "pay attention" to her.

Seeing the thread, it reminded me of somthing I saw on the readers digest website

Quote:
Stuck in rush-hour traffic, I couldn't help but stare when a burly biker wearing a black leather jacket and chaps pulled up next to me on a shocking pink Harley-Davidson. My first thoughts were, "Is that really a pink Harley? I wonder if he's..." Just then the traffic cleared and he pulled in front of me. On the back of his helmet were stenciled the words "Yes, it is. No, I'm not."
