Default anybody had eye infection from riding?

i was just wondering if anyone got eye infection from riding their motorcycle. i had eye infection from things flying into my eye, i rode at night and i only have a helmet with tinted shield, so i have to let it up. i guess the dusts and little bugs flied into my eyes and i got bacteria built up in my eyes. it's been almost 3 weeks, which means no riding for three weeks....

I got an eye infection a while back, not from riding. One of those deals that never really goes away. Sometimes when my eyes get really jacked up, like from dust and crap at work or riding when it's windy out, the infection comes back. The drops they gave me to get rid of it burn like a MF too! Since then I keep a bottle of regular alergy eyedrops with me. If I get crap in my eye, or it starts to feel irritated, I put some eyedrops in. It might help for next time. Also, get a pair of clear or yellow safety glasses, like we use in construction. You can get them at Home Depot among other places. That way if you get stuck riding at night you can wear them. Easier and cheaper to carry around than a spare visor.

I get stuff in my eyes all the time, and they water up sometimes, but I have never got an infection.

Another reason to always wear eye protection as the law dictates in CA. I usually rely on the helmet's shield.

Pale yellow glasses are approved for night riding. Better than no eye protection.

I ride with a smoke shield, sometimes I change it when I go out at night to the clear shield, but if Im at work late I get stuck with the smoke shield. I would rather ride with the sheild blocking out some minor details from my vision then be blinded by a rock, sand, or bugs. When its hot out I put my sheild up at red lights, when I leave the light I pull it down before I hit 30mph, and even in that short time Im being hit with dust/crap in eyes, I couldnt imagine riding any faster without eye protection.

You need to buy a clear shield. You only get two eyes and all it takes is one rock.

I'm shocked anyone would ride like that knowing how many hard objects have hit my visor.

get a clear visor man, they aren't that much. it will save your vision and eyes, i usually ride to work with my clear face shield and bring my dark smoke for the ride home at 730am. either that or i ride with sunglasses and clear. by any chance do you have a scorpion helmet cause i have an extra clear shield.

So how much are you willing to sell your vision for? Because it doesn't cost much to get a clear visor.

we have natural eye drops here you can use for dry eyes.İ like to ride with a smoked shield but at night times it is really hard to see.So i usually ride at day times for summertimes but when it's winter time i replaced my clear shield on.And i have silver solid shoei x-11 .İt looks like a cheap helmet but i know that is a good helmet and it will probably protect me.Hope that i won't need it.Next time i will buy a helmet it won't be a solid colour.
