Default rear tire slowly losing pressure- replace?

My MV's rear tire goes from about 33 psi to 31 psi overnight if I don't add air. Is it safe to keep riding on this tire or do I need to replace it? I see no visible damage.

I discovered the issue after not checking the air for awhile until it was nearly 0 psi! I won't let that happen again.

thanks in advance

I thought of that, but it was losing air before then because I'd noticed squirmy handling the last few days but didn't know why until I checked the air pressure.

Only thing I can think of is to check and see if your retarded. To do this look at your sister, if you think she's hot, you're not retarded, you're a red neck. If you don't have a sister and are trying to look at her, then you're retarded, and your parents were rednecks. If you don't understand the correlation, you're retarded. If you don't undertand correlations, also... retarded.

Have you checked the valve stem or tire itself for leaks bro...It either is or is not leaking...not uh what you'd call rocket science here...here's a tip..dish soap and ????? you fill in the blanks..

Next you'll post wanting to know if you should wipe you ass....poop or no poop it's there or it aint...you get the correlation right?

LMAO!!!!

Damn, that was a little harsh don't ya think?

It definitely does not sound normal. Maybe you got a nail or something. Take the tire in and have it checked. Couldn't hurt.

Something like that would bug the sh!t out of me. If you can't find a pin hole in the tread area of the tire, I would remove the wheel and put a mixture of soapy water around the bead, valve stem and then look for bubbles. If that didn't work, I would put it in my boy's kiddy pool. Its very possible you have a bad seal on the bead or the valve stem is going bad.

I didn't ask whether it was leaking or not- obviously it is. I was wondering how safe it is to continue to ride on a slowly leaking tire. That would be more akin to finding blood in poop and wondering whether to go to a doctor than wondering if the poop is there or not. The air leak, the poop, is there. . . no shit . . or, is it?

This happened to me. The tire had a hole somewhere but I couldn't see it, and the tire kept getting flatter and flatter everyday. I simply replaced it. I wouldn't suggest trying to seal the hole, it's just much easier and safer to buy buy a new one. This way you won't have to think about your tire every time you ride, you will be able to just enjoy the ride.

This just happened to me. I was able to find the leak by using soapy water to watch for bubbles. I found a brad nail embedded below the surface. I then removed the nail and plugged it. Problem solved.

Probably a tiny hole from a brad or staple. Did you try tightening the valve stem?

OK, I put the bike on the rear stand and found a tiny pinhole that is apparently the problem. I'll probably find somewhere around here that will patch it from the inside because it's not on the sidewall.

I have a little more comfort with a patch after doing some research
