Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that one of your site sponsors, RedlineStands.com, now carries Pit Bull stands. We've even priced them below KneeDraggers so feel free to take advantage of our crazy low pricing structure. Thanks guys.
Taller guys have more leg to stick out, especially if they tilt themselve a bit in the saddle. I've seen really tall guys drag a knee without tilting the bike very much at all.
my friend is 6'6" and he is able to drag his knee without leaning his bike over that far. i would say it's easier for a taller person than a shorter one (but i could be just one pissed off biased view b/c i haven't scuffed my knees yet . . .)

girls have the better build for dragging knees. not as many do it because they are naturally smarter than us guys, but the way their hips move gives them a more natural feel for being in the propper position.
I tried like hell to drag a knee at the dragon. I was told I was doing everything right, but I couldn't get my knee down for anything. I was scrapping pegs on both sides, and I was leaning off as far as I could (safely), and it wasn't until the very end did I touch down at the same time as a peg. Once the peg hit I brought the bike up and if Will hadn't been riding behind me, I probably would never have known my knee touched. Now I told you this because I THINK it is easier for a taller person to touch. I am 5'5", riding an SV650s, on a very twisty road and was doing everything I could to get my knee down. Now Will on the other hand while riding behind me, was dragging knees through every corner and we were carrying the same speed.

Knee-dragging is not (or should not) be a goal in and of itself. The goal is to go fast (you should probably never go over 70% on the street), and dragging knee may be a by-product of going fast. By consciously trying to drag, you're actually slowing yourself down because you're contorting your body to try to touch down. You're also endangering yourself by pushing your limits on the street, as I'm sure you're aware. Concentrate on being smooth and safe on the street, and save the really fast riding for the track. When you're fast enough to drag knees, it'll happen without much effort.
Your right, and the only place I come remotely close to doing it on a street is at the dragon. The speed limit is 35 but you can drag a knee through there at 45. I should clarify some, I focus on my ride, but at the same time I try to improve my speed and techinque on every ride. I ride my ride and then ask what can be improved, since I can't see myself riding, I ask others with experience. I don't push my limits like I do on the track, but since I can't afford a track day every weekend, I still try to improve when and where I can, but as safely as I can.

My FZ6 is a pretty tall bike, much taller than super sports and I apparently can drag pegs and my boots without touching my knee down. I'm also 6'4", so I dunno how that works out for me.
that used to happen to me too 'noodle'. i just hang off more to get my short legs at the right angle to fix it. i hope you dont still have the feelers on there too
i would think that it would be a little easier to crawl (spider-like) around in the saddle due to the natural lower center of gravity that a women has as apposed to a man who usually carries his weight more in the torso area. as far as the "taller would be easier" thing.....the more leg you have, the less time it takes to get it down. but that sorta( to me) posses a problem with getting down a little lower in order to carry more speed through the corners. i would assume that if you are tall( which i'm not), the sooner your knee touches down, the less lean angle you have in the corner. thus making you a little slower in the corners. not saying that tall people are slower in the corners because you can always adjust your riding style to(within reason and skill level to adapt to this type of situation) compensate.
I'm not feeling it. Sorry, but a buddist in the family doesn't make you open-minded. It just means you're bangin' a buddist.
