Trouble Choosing Between Yoshi R55 v.s. M4 Exhaust!!
Hey, I am new to this bored and I am strung up on two exhaust system slip ons that I like but having a hard time choosing between them. I have a 06 GSXR 600 silver/white. I like both Yoshi R 55 and M4 because I don't want to go for those bulky cans that extend in the aiir, i want it to look like the stock exhaust; in that its short, sleek and matches the bike itself. Thats why I narrowed my decision to these two because the stock exhaust looks sweet itself, and i want to get something that wont have the colours clash with my bike. So right away both the R55 and the M4 exhaust came into my mind. I figured that since my bike is silver/white that the M4 (all black) will suit my bike no problem since the stock is black as well. But I don't know much about it. In terms of the R 55, I am trying to visualize how that will look on my bike cuz if the silver off of the exhaust matches the silver paint of my bike than it should be a good look. PLus it helps that the tip of the R 55 is black (carbon) so it will match with the black of my bike, but i really need to see a visual, because it might just clash with the bike. I called many dealers to further educate me about these two exhaust and they gave me there out look on yoshi's but for the M4 they couldnt really help me since its not really knownand its still new in our area and so they couldnt really give me any input. Im not going to lie, I don't know much about exhaust systems and at first I thought I was going to get the M4 exhaust. But than I saw the Yoshi R 55, but still thought M4 was what I wanted up until today. I don't know what but I am slowly liking this R55 but at best its dead even with the M4 in terms of personal choice. I've heard that most people get slip ons rather than full system because the bike arleady got enough HP that it really needs and the there is no sound quality difference between slip on or full system, is this true?...Also, I seen some pics that some of you provided in the thread about R 55, and was wondeirng if it actually looks like it got burnt lines around areas for fusing it together. Cuz from the original website it shows none of that. So please let me know about that too....so anyways I hope you guys can help me make my decision soon as bike seasons here is just around the corner !!

I would get a Yoshi... When I bought my SV650 it came with a M4 exhaust. I like it, and it sounds greats. I needed some parts for stuff that broke off. So I went to there website, and looked for near by dealers. There are 13 dealers it said in my area. One of them (Shawnee Cycle Plaza) is about two blocks down. So I went over there to see if I could order the part I needed. They said they have never been a dealer for them (And they have been there for a while)… that was odd. They even looked at the website. Then another JP Racing about 10 minutes away has been out of business for around 10 or more year. Then I asked someone else and they said they have never heard of them! I have no idea whats wrong with them... Plus I never heard of M4 till I got my bike... and there is only one person (isn't it) that uses M4 Exhaust system in AMA.
Its just hard to find a dealer thats really a dealer...
thats the same problem I have here, I called dealers and asked them if they have any M4's around some say they don't even have it, and some dont realize they have it.....nice clip novakane...but i still need more help!!
Sweet thanks for the links, I noticed that people don't go with the R 55 cuz of the price of it, but put the price aside i want to know which one is overall performs good, sounds better, and looks suited with teh bike (silver/white gsxr 600 k6)...your guys advice may give me the final decision. Thanks!
