Did anyone have luck tinting a stock clear plastic/plexi windscreen?
I just purchased another stock windscreen for my bike and cut it down. I would like to tint it because tint is removable, black spray paint is not.
Has anyone had any luck tinting a stock plexi shield for any bike? My shield is fairly easy to tint, no jagged weird angles, i'm going to get it cut down to the below picture probably...
anybody?

I used regular old dark window tint for the visor in my old helmet. I just got the idea after tinting some upstairs home windows. I can't imagine it would be any more difficult to accomplish on a windscreen. Hardest part is getting out the bubbles, but a squeegee works.
There was a post a while back about some spray on stuff that looked good, but I doubt it is easily removable.

Holy CRAP! I was using what I paid for the tinted one for my RC as a basis!
Since there are no "goofy" angles or anything I would imagine it should be fairly simple. Just make certain that you use enough soapy water when placing the tint on so you could squeegee out all the bubbles.

i'll be taking a trip to walmart and we'll see if this works out... i don't want too spend too much or i would be coming close to just buying an aftermarket tinted windshield anyway...

I'd just buy one tinted. You technically need it applied in a controlled environment to make sure it lasts. I've had experience tinting cars before, it's not worth the effort with a bike shield that's so cheap to buy already tinted.
If it's your first time, regardless of what directions you get, you are probably going to screw it up because it's simply not as easy as it looks to get it done right and make it last several years.
I can't remember where the thread is or what my buddy used. but it was some kind of spray on tint that you can buy for your tail lights on a car. he thought he'd use it on his sv650's windscreen. turned out looking great. think he said he bought a can of it from orielys or autozone. (granted i don't know what autopart stores you have) i'll try to find the thread and let you know.
$10 Dollar Tinted Windshield!!! its an old thread but he has pics of what his looked like and talks about if for 3 pages. its in the general sportbikes forum. hope this helps.
