cool LEO
Was heading out for a fun ride with the wife doing 75 in a 55. No one around and up ahead, sitting in front of a row of trees was a dark brown squad car with tan writing. The LEO had me dead to rights. I knew it, he knew it. Hell, even yellow dog knew it. He was gonna come after me, so I pulled over about 20 yards from his car in a driveway for a business. He didn't even have to drive his car. He walked over to me.
As he approached, my wife was punching me in the back (joking) and I was laughing. I took my helmet off and told him that he had the best hiding spot I'd ever seen. I was laughing because my wife was mad and because I'd driven past that spot 1000 times and never saw anyone there.
he was really cool and since I pulled over right away, he gave me a warning. I asked if my wife could be arrested for assault, and he laughed some more. He told me to slow down and have a good ride. He didn't even say how fast he clocked me going. He was very cool.
moral of the story...be cool to them, they'll be cool to you.

It's better when they come knock on your door answering a neighbor's complaint and can't do shit.
Then they tell you that to alleviate the speeding complaints they're just going to set up radar traps in the subdivision.
To which you reply "Park your car by that stop sign there and bring a full ticket book."
I don't know why, but that pissed him off. Fucker.
Then I saw him driving out of the neighborhood doing 30 in a 20.

I've tried this approach before and they best results I have gotten from the officer is them lowering the speed on my ticket.
Glad to hear you got off with a warning though Jester27, ya lucky bastard!!

You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I've also tried that approach but I usually just get a big ticket.

i've tried being nice, honest, lied my ass off, just about everything and all i got out of it was 7 tickets, one accusation of being on drugs, pulled out of the car, and i have gotten out of being pulled over once... i guess it just depends where you are, and not being a 21 year old male.

I've actually had one State Trooper get upset with me because I was responding with "Yes, sir." - "No, sir." Maybe he thought I was being sarcastic.

The only time I've gotten out of a ticket (not that I didn't deserve each one I've ever received) was when I was in my Marine Corps' Dress Charlie uniform escorting a Poolee from the depot. I could tell by the conversation with the officer he was a Former Marine.
