Its ok man, ya stink. I admit it. I stink too. Spray a lil right guard on your nads and be done with it
First: I spray Right Guard anti-perspirant/deoderant on my nads every morning after I shower. You need to get right up in there. Don't be afraid to throw a leg up on the counter.
Having smelly junk isn't good. Anti-perspirant/deoderant was invented for a reason... use it wherever its needed.
Second: No, I don't smell after I ride with the exception of a very briefly lingering gasoline / oil smell that's usually gone after I walk around a minute or two. No lingering smell certainly.
Perhaps this is best attributed to my first comment.
I used to have some smell on me. I noticed that I will walk behind my exhaust as the bike is running. This may be what you're doing. Cut this out and I think you will see a change.

When i painted the exhaust on my old bike, it smelled the first five or so times i rode while it was baking on.
If your bike is running rich, it will leave a slight odor behind on you, i've noticed. Or my girlfriend has. She has the most uncanny sense of smell, it's unbelievable. But this is so rich that you'll notice a nice black powder on the inside of your exhaust. REALLY rich.
Or, radiator fluid smells very mildew-ish. VERY much like that. OR, burning brakes and clutch (or just brake dust) can smell slightly sweet, but still foul.
I'll bet it's the kind of brake pads you have, actually. That dust will get ALL OVER you as you ride. I would try changing the compound of your brake pads on the front wheel and see if that makes a difference. It's only like 25 bucks, and with 13k miles, it might be due to change them soon anyways.
Have you changed them recently or anything?

Well, it could be the stock front pads. Or, it could be some kind of road grime that got flung up onto the exhaust or on top the the cylinder heads where you can't get to it or something.
Engines, whether they be twin or not, do NOT just smell when they run. It's gotta be something else.

I gotta twin and the only time I think I smell is after a really long ride. Could just be your bike, but who knows!! Could just be one of those weird things. Try riding another bike if possible and see if you still get that smell.

LiViN's EasyWell.. not that stuff we've had plenty of threads about that but.....This smell.... Ass....Yes..ass...That is what I smell like after riding my bike because of exhaust.
Well if you'd stop scaring the shit out of yourself while riding maybe just maybe you wouldn't smell like ass. Just a thought...

In all seriousness, you are riding in an exposed environment. You don't have the filtered A/C cooling you off. I smell some odd smells when riding, from funky catalytic converters to perfumes. All these smells are clinging to your gear and such while riding. That may cause your stank.

You're right... I'll try a few of those things and see if I can find it while im fixing the other problems(read:pulsating at rpms etc..)

I know but this is 2 funky and its coming from my own bike. My upper body doesn't smell like this except on longer rides but short trips only on my pants.

WHOA WHOA WHOA! You spray Right Guard ON your nads? That doesn't give you a rash? I'm scared to try.

I'd check on the top of your engine or in your air box for something like a mouse nest. Had one in a car once and they piss all over the place. Really nice smell when that and a few dead baby mice started to cook... Just a thought.
1) Have you thought about it maybe being some sort of evaporative emissions from your carburetors? That's one problem with carbs - they're evaporating gas all over the goddam place, especially if they aren't tuned correctly. Might make a funny smell with some of the fabrics of your gear, though, I'd expect it to have a very distinct gasoline smell.
2) Yes, I stink after a ride, espeically on my Speed Triple. But it's not ass-smell; It's tuned VERY rich right now, so much that the exhaust smells distinctly of unburned hydrocarbons. My jacket smells like that smoky-gassy-lawn mower smell for hours after a ride. I don't mind it - it reminds me of riding. Leather resists the smell better than textile, it seems.

I had the 'smelly clothes' problem on my old bike, which was carb'd, with a full length exhaust out the back. I don't have that problem any more with the new bike, and it's FI with a shorty exhaust...
