I am back as a "rookie"...........pics inside
Whats up?
I used to be a donater to this site, but when trying to post here again after some while I see that my status now is back to the rookie level.
Don't know what happened.
However since it is a kind of rule that newbies have to post pics of their bike, here is a couple of my bike and the mods I have done to it since last time.
PS! The damaged midpipe and canister are replaced (stupid lowside......luckily the plastics where off at the moment of crash)
Some of added stuff.....
.....rotors and calipers installed later
This winter I will install Harris adjustable triple clamps
..........and replace the Scotts damper with an Ohlins linear since it might not work with the adjustable clamps. I don't know.
Now many will probably say I am completely crazy spending all this $$$ on the bike, but to me it is worth every cent.
All I can say is that this bike handles, accellerates and brakes in an awasome manner
Last is a pic of my "alternative" bike
......which most likely will be sold to give way for the GSXR1000 K5, but I might wait for the K6
Cheers
Narve

I've got an 02 gsxr1000 too. but I have the faster red one!
micron serpent full exhaust, pc2, -1 front sprocket, rebuilt rear shock with upgraded internals, hyperpro springs all around, hyperpro damper
how much did those rims set you back? and do you think they were worth it? does it turn easier?

3000$ for the rims.
Worth it? Maybe you would come a long way with some more inexpensive forged aluminium/magnesium wheels.
However these wheels are VERY light and VERY strong.
Along with the rear shock and the full Brembo brake set up, they are the most noticeable mods. Even my friend thinks my bike flicks more easily through the twists than his CBR600RR.
If you can afford it I higly recommend them.............and they look good too
Nice bike you have.
