Default US motoGP news........

................
Quote:
="Tigertex"]A couple of pretty exciting items I've heard recently (news to me anyway).

1. http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...d=6&nid=101758

AMA is going to support US MotoGP with a superbike double header with "Additional support races will be announced in the near future".
\/

Apparently this is what we are getting instead of the 250s and 125s. I was bummed about that but this should be really fun. I spoke to someone at Laguna Seca and she told me this is what they will be doing next year instead of the usual WSBK/AMA weekend.

2. While I was looking around the Laguna Seca website I saw this:
http://www.laguna-seca.com/PressRele...dex.cfm?ID=117

This was the part that caught my eye:
"While thousands of fans have been snapping up general admission tickets and paddock passes for the long awaited return of the MotoGP World Championship to the United States next year at the 2005 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, they have to wait until Monday, Oct. 25, to purchase reserved grandstand seats, camp sites and individual suite tickets. "

Yea this is kind of a dissapointment to me. I went to Laguna Seca for the WSB round in 2002 and it was great but the only problem is since I live in Texas I decided to fly instead of riding or towing my bike so I was there without one. That year they didn't start selling tickets until Janurary, that gave me plenty of time to get my travel plans together before buying the tickets. They are selling tickets to early this year. By the time that I'm ready to make travel plans all of the good tickets will be gone.

So who's coming? We ought to all meet up and have an SBN area of sorts--grab a good spot from which to watch the race, and get all the SBN guys together there. Would be good fun.

61.99/night.......3 nights.....we call the day it was announced....

haven't decided on the bikes.......we may take her son to disney world, and may make a week long trip of it.......so the bikes would be a big PITA, we may take a scooter to get to/from and around the races (learned that from Barber)

alot of "if's" right now.

I think I am going to go. I'm going to bring my trailor if anyone locally wants to tag along. Should be great fun, I've been dying for MotoGP to reach the US.

Hope they don't try to jack the price up on you when you check in. I happens all the time out there when people make resevations early.
