FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
I got the letter a few days ago for the TPS replacement and today it was idling horrible. When I turned the key off and then back on the problem went away.
Ulric, go to the website or look in this thread for the letter someone posted from Yamaha describing which bikes are affected.

My experience was that what you call a "binary throttle off idle" was completely eliminated when my TPS was replaced.
Now that is excellent news, I thought I wasn't gentle enough with the throttle
I guess I'll make an appointment at my dealership soon. I went down to Deals Gap for the meet, and I kept having to refuel way more before my buddies. No stalling or anything that I would describe as a rough idle though.

I called three different dealers and the fastest that a dealer could get the part was four days and could get it fixed the day they get the part in. This was from a smaller Yamaha dealer, and from what I am hearing you guys might want to give the smaller dealers that have a repair shop a try, it might be faster for you. Good luck.
I started getting error code 19 occasionally when I was starting my bike... starter would spin and spin and obviously I'd stop doing that and go wtf Turned it off and back on and it would be fine, but it got worse and worse. Took it in for new tires today and got the TPS replaced. The idle went smooth and it fixed the throttle response issues.
Go figure that at the same trip I traded it in for a 2001 R6 with 4K miles on it.
Just consolidating the info since it's been 2 years since the last post, and I'm having my bike fixed next week. Took me a while to track down the info above.

Hey guys. I took my tbs out to clean it. To get to it I had to disconnect the the wire clips in front of it. After I installed the tbs back, the km reading when up by about 10,000 km. It was reading about 6000km before i cleaned the tbs, after the installed it back in, the odometer reading went up to 16000km. Do you guys know how to put it back? Or what did I do wrong?
