Default FZ1 Fazer

Found a really good deal on a brand new FZ1 Fazer which I might take upm but th part-ex price on my FZ6N is far lower than I thought it would be. What do you think I could get for it; 2005, Silver, FZ6N, 23k miles ... ??

Pity, as the FZ1 forum here has so little content.

On this side of the pond, dealers either make money on the bike they sell, or they take you to the cleaners on the one you trade in.... that way they can make money when they sell it.

It's a fair bet to say that a dealer is going to take it in for less than you could sell it for as a private party... and that you could sell it yourself for a bit more than they are willing to pay.

A roundabout way of saying I don't know what the market value in England is for an FZ6N.

How slow are motorcycle sales in the UK? What do the local websites list the value of similar motorcycles at? How about the local papers, and dealerships? If the FZ1 is cheaper than you expected, the odds are good that they won't be nice on the trade in.... They're probably getting hammered as much as everyone else......

Well, I rode the FZ1 a few times and signed up for an amazing deal last weekend, and collect it on Friday!!

The deal on the FZ1 Fazer was too good to miss ... £8899 with £1400 off (discounted to last year's prince), and £2000 for mine in p/e (not bad, 23k miles), a further £2k cash and the rest on 0% interest free over 3 years.

I wanted to go for the naked yellow one (below), but the pillion seat has no grab rail, only the silly little leather strap. So, the FZ1 Fazer bizarrely has a proper seat unit and grab-rail ... and when I asked the dealer about buying the seat cowl and stuff to fit he said it wouldn't??

Any hoo, looking forward to the new bike, not looking forward to giving up the beloved FZ6.

have a look on parkers guide bud. Uk bike used prices are pretty good at the moment.
I have just traded my 04 fz6 fazer with 10000 miles for the vfr and my trade in was 2500.
Mind i am a repeat customer with this dealer

That sounds about right then; mine is a year younger, but over twice the mileage. £2k isn't bad, I beat them up from their first offer of £1600!!!

That yellow FZ1-N looks like an enraged hornet! Do they sell that here in the states?
