Throttle Body Synchronization, Carbtune Group Discount
Hello everyone,
I have made contact with a company known as Morgan Carbtune. They are based here in Belfast, in Northern Ireland. I wont assume all of you know about the engine requirements of the FZ6 but it is good for the engine if you synchronise the throttle bodies and you can either A)pay someone 50 pound/65 euro/100 dollars to do it for you or B) you can buy a cool gadget that will allow you to do it yourself!!!
That is where this cool invention comes in, It does not use fluid so nothing can be sucked into your engine and as a plus the unit comes with all connections that will connect to the vacuum tubes in our FZ6 bike...so no extra pieces are required!!!
O and if you read their site (link below) they say you can also use it on specific cars, boats and 2 strokes!
You can read about this unit here:
http://www.carbtune.com/
And the video to use it:
YouTube - carbtune
The way I want to work this is simply to get people to give me their name just to keep a count of interested bodies that will be definately interested to buy it. I will then approach the company for the second time and give them a final number. I hope to ask them whether we can use a code (of their choosing) so that they can identify who is in on the "group buy" and give a discount accordingly. I will not be handling any money myself and all dealings you have will be with the company directly.
So far they are saying that we can get a 5 pound discount but I am confident that if we can get more numbers we can get a greater reduction.
Please just answer here if you are interested and i'll keep track. I am also running this on the FZ6-forum, i've already got 8 interested bodies over on that site...so come on...who's willing to save a bit of money???
Original thread on this is found on the FZ6-Forum here:

These can be taken as a provisional price...the true price should come soon once I know numbers!

Plus, you need to modify or buy additional fixtures to use the Motion Pro on your FZ6 (According to a fellow biker who bought one) where-as the Carbtuner is plug and play! So the Carbtuner works out alot cheaper and shipping to the USA from this company is FASSSSTTTTT.

every bit as effective, every bit as accurate. how would you define it?
just because you pay $100 for some thing doesn't mean it does the job any better or produces better results.

In the "comments" section on that site, an FZ6 owner said it worked without any adaptors.
As for sucking the fluid in, at least it is non-toxic, so no worries there.

I made a manometer once, and maybe my manufacturing skillz weren't exactly mad because it was a piece of crap. I bought a set of vacuum gauges about 10 years ago and they actually do "work" Not to mention, no chance of sucking anything into the motor.

Only you have to spend more money to buy more fluid when that happens!
Maybe you dont need any other adaptors, but another FZ6 owner who bought the fluid filled unit only last week said he had to do some modifications to get it to fit his bike...so I dont know who to believe...but i'd trust a fellow FZ6 on a forum before a comment on a page. I wouldn't run the risk of buying a machine to find it doesn't come 100% complete to go.
Hence why the Carbtune is a million times better.
