How are you going to ride it in the colorado snow? BTW, you know how much the dealers can go down on the msrp on this bike? What is the OTD ballpark? None of the dealers in Nashville keep this bike in stock - weird!
I was quoted $7500 OTD for a left over 07 a couple months ago. And $7600 OTD from a dealer in OR witha "friend hook up"
Damn, it is almost impossible to find a 07 leftover here. I need to look out of state now. I am surprised that the Z1000 is sold out everywhere.
This was a few months ago. I have not been back to the dealer because if I walk in and see the bike sitting there I am scared I will try and trade the SV in and buy the Z....
^ True ^ I don't know if it will jack up the prices, but the bike is not a common sight.
After looking into the list of mods the zed's go thru... I may be more inclined on an ohlins rear shock/nakid conversion on the FZ6.

That bike has got the ugliest exhaust cans ever designed and that useless plastic around the radiator. Fugly is the word...
As for faired or naked, I find my naked monster to give clean air, no turbulence, even at *cough*110 mph*cough. The only way I have gotten the FZ6 to anywhere near that, is to remove the windshield.
