FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
I can't believe the crap that keeps happening to you. I am glad you are relatively ok. I would get the daytona 675 in all black an track it.
I have to ask you how you feel after this last accident regarding riding with young kids at home. After we just had my son I have had a really hard time getting on the bike. I still ride almost everyday now, but for the first month since he was born I drove my truck almost everyday. With the traffic around me, I know that one day I will get cut off too. Is this something that has gone through your mind after all this?
It's in my mind all the time bro... I kinda responded to this above in my response to Defy... it's a tough call isn`t it? to stop or not to stop... I ride everyday as well (or I used to I should say...).
I really like your attitude about the wrecks wavex. I am a firm believer that if it's my time to go then it's my time to go, whether on the bike, in a car or in the bed.
When my children were small I didn't have a motorcycle, I wanted one bad, but I thought about leaving them fatherless and my wife a widow (she already lost her first husband to cancer). After the children got older, I couldn't resist it any longer. I went and got the fizzer. I'm not one bit sorry I finally got on two wheels. The family now understands that the motorcyle is part of me.
I seldom think about leaving them without a dad now, although there are plenty of close calls to warrant giving up, but like you said, two wheels are who you are! Don't give up riding, because I can't wait to see Duc 1.0!!!! or Brutale V1.0!!!

I can now fully symphatize with what your wife has to put up with on account of you. Kidding aside, she must really feel sick everytime you hop on the motorcycle.
I'm glad you're ok and nobody got hurt. Thank goodness for that.
If you decide to continue riding, may I suggest taking all the riding courses available. From beginner, to get back in touch with the basics, through intermediate to practice proper riding techniques, and advanced to expand on your skills.
The life you save may be your own. I do believe that you might make it to be a really competent rider as long as you treat each ride like it were your first.
I'm still working on trying not to assume what others on the roads might do. What would you have done differently to avoid your collision?
Oh, I still think you've got a horse shoe up your ass, and a big one indeed!
First, glad t hear you came out with just some aches & pains and yeah, sorry to see another beautiful bike destroyed. As for the decision to ride or not ride, obviously that is a personal decision. I sold my previous road bike when my son was about 3 or 4 because I was thinking about all the bad possibilities. No clue if it was the right decision or not but 15 years later I bought the FZ and here I am. I don't think I am the canyon carver / track guy that you are but I love every minute I'm on the bike (even the commute to work & back)
So whatever you decide, the best of luck to you. I would think you've used up a good portion of the bad luck by now!

I highly suggest getting a headlight modulator for your next bike. It *really* helps with how visible you are.
Those sleek naked bikes are gorgeous, but so easy to overlook in traffic.
That's a good idea about the headlight modulator...
One more thing guys, I was just like most of you right now, thinking that I ride defensively enough to be able to avoid such situations, but that shit happened fast... it all went down within maybe 5 seconds (?) and it was over. I know how you all feel when you read such accident threads "oh that wouldn`t happen to me", or "nah he just doesn`t have the skills, or don`t know how to ride defensively enough, and I do" etc etc... which is fine, and probably true, but just keep in mind that imo, it can happen to anybody at any time. Keep your concentration up at all times (especially those of you who ride everyday, try not to let it become too much of a routine, remind yourself to be alert all the time) and if there's one lesson you can take from this thread is, if you see anything weird, don`t make any assumptions about what the cager will do, just always bet on the safe side.
Damn, dude, Im glad you are okay. Im sorry about V3.0, a truly beautiful bike. The first bike Ive seen that made me think about going naked. In one sense, I appreciate the details of the accident, lets me think about how to handle that situation and maybe help me if I get into a similar situation. I hope things turn out for the best for you.
I'm glad your okay. I have to ask and I mean no disrespect. With that many accidents, is your insurance through the roof?
Negative. The first accident raised my insurance $5 a month (bike was totaled). The second accident I did not report since the bike and I were almost 100% fine... if this one ends up being the cager's fault 100% (which me and my lawyer think it will), I don`t think my insurance will go up at all.
I just got a quote from AAA for $150/month to insurance both my cars + my bike (full coverage) and my house, so I am stoked!
Will let you guys know how it goes after this whole thing is settled.
Talked to the appraisal guy at my insurance a few minutes ago and he mentioned he was going to check out the bike tomorrow... more news soon on that.
dang man just read this... sorry to see that beautiful bike go down... but im also glad to hear your doing alright... soreness aside... man thats amazing you came out pretty much unscathed...

I thought the title was a joke.... glad you are okay! There was a death up here that they think was due to road rage, (non bike related) yet people still drive more and more like dumb dumbs.
It wasn't this bad in France was it? Methinks I want to move to Finland... go party with my buddy Kimi Raikkonen.

Reading about your mishaps is a reminder to us all to be careful because it can happen to any of us at any time. And knock on wood, we do have a chance at surviving should it happen. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear you're ok. For the sake of the wife and kid, you should give serious thought to cutting back on the riding.
